01

A doorway does not describe the whole house

USB-C has paths for power and CC pins for connection detection and communication. A USB-C port alone does not establish PD support. Some devices use Type-C power at 5V without a PD conversation.

02

Identical-looking cables have different capabilities

Voltage/current ratings and data/video capabilities are separate specifications. A 240W marking does not by itself promise high-speed data or display support. Charger, device and cable must all support the intended use.

03

Check the function behind each port

Read the output conditions of the actual charger port, the device input specifications and the cable rating. For a monitor, also check video support at both ends. Physical compatibility is the beginning of the check.
