From a 100W foundation to 240W

SPR reaches 100W at 20V/5A. EPR introduces higher voltages including 28V, 36V and 48V, reaching 240W at 48V/5A. The connector shape remains familiar, but the components and cable must support the higher voltage.

Check the occupants and the staircase

A representative sequence establishes an explicit SPR contract, checks EPR support and enters EPR Mode. Enter, Enter Acknowledged, cable checks and Enter Succeeded precede selecting conditions from EPR capabilities. Verification timing and retries can vary.

03

Keep checking after entry

Periodic communication maintains the EPR connection. An e-marker in an older 100W/5A cable does not establish EPR capability. Compatibility and higher-voltage qualification explain much of the extra procedure.
